[eclipse-dev] Planning Meeting Notes - Feb 14, 2007

------------------

Discussion Topic

------------------

Workspace:

- We are working towards adding an org.eclipse.core.net plug-in

which will manage proxy settings. Associated with the settings

will be a preference page to allow the user to specify the

proxy settings. In the past, such preference pages typically

ended up in the IDE plug-in. However, one could make the case

that the page should be in a separate plug-in (e.g.

org.eclipse.ui.net) so that RCP clients could choose to

include both the Core and UI parts without including IDE.

What do people think of this?
