I think that even if committers start
using the committer mailing list for these types of announcements, it won't
completely solve the misuse problem that has plagued eclipse-dev.

How about we rename this mailing list
eclipse-sdk-dev, since that would make the *intended* usage of this mailing
list more obvious to everyone using it. For that matter, why don't we rename
"Eclipse Project" --> "Eclipse SDK Project"?

I propose that committers receive eclipse.org email
addresses and these be
the ones that are used in Bugzilla. Thoughts?

I think it would make things easier when trying to remember people's email
addresses in Bugzilla. Especially those people who change their email all
the time. (right Rafael? :-)
