Looks like you may have upgraded something that brought in a new
version of libatk, but did not upgrade glib2. Check what version of
libatk you have installed and make sure it has its dependencies. Did
some third party software you installed break your system?

Hi Danny,

I have no idea what the problem is. I have installed eclipse on
Fedora Core 2 and it runs really good.

      Try this link:
http://fedoranews.org/contributors/yves_janse/eclipse/index.shtml Here you
can find how to install eclipse on Linux.

Hope it helps.

Here is a link to what libraries are needed to run Eclipse 3.0 and 3.1:

http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/%7Echeckout%7E/platform-swt-home/faq.html#gtkstartup

The symbol it is complaining about, "g_assert_warning", is defined in
glib.

There will be no status message (or weekly status meeting) this week
because most of the interested parties will be together at EclipseCon.

thanks,
