I think the first item under Eclipse Platform should be renamed (On the 
proposal and in the bug itself). What is being suggested, is not what most 
people would mean when they say  "Logical Resources".  
  
This has been discussed in detail on the original bug report as well 
(https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=37723, comment #10 to #21).  
  
 I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed when  "logical 
resources" only ends up being  "map one physical file to several nodes in the 
navigator", or "several nodes into one physical". I think many wants a  
"logical resource" system where the resources aren't physical at all (remote, 
totally virtual.. ).  
  
But this is just my .02$..
