 ... why no ports to FreeBSD 4/5? The OS is a powerful alternative to Linux 
(as a workstation too). While it has it's own ports command + hevy repository 
of binary packages, the native ports (e.g. yours)'re more preferred 'cause 
freebsd porters keep strong i386 compartibility + not always check their 
builds pedantly.
