[eclipse-dev] import error

hi,

i have developed a plugin project in eclipse.
when i import org.eclipse.jdt.core.*;
the compiler reports an error as
"org.eclipse.jdt.core cannot be resolved".

what setting should i change , to use the classes,interfaces of jdt in 
plugin project??? in Eclipse 2.1.1

Any suggestions would be greatly helpful.
