[eclipse-dev] VCM component renamed

Sorry for this happening right in the middle of our milestone week, but it
had been planned for a while and the webmaster finally had cycles to make
the changes this week.

The Eclipse Platform "VCM" component is being renamed to "Team". During
Eclipse 2.0 development the plugins had been renamed to
org.eclipse.team.* but the associated web pages, bugzilla component, and
mailing list did not get updated. Those subscribed to the platform-vcm-dev
mailing will be automatically subscribed to the new platform-team-dev and
platform-cvs-dev mailing lists. In addition, we are splitting the new Team
component and creating a separate component for the Eclipse CVS support.
This new component is solely responsible for CVS support in the SDK, while
the Team component is responsible for the mechanisms and APIs to enable
Team providers to integrate the full, rich, functionality of their
repository into Eclipse. The new components and new names should make it
more obvious for users to decide where to pose questions and log bugs
since nobody knew what VCM meant :)

For platform developers using CVS, your bugs should be directed to the CVS
component. Whereas ISVs implementing team plug-ins and Team tools should
direct bugs to the Team component.

Cheers,
Jean-Michel
