Re: [eclipse-dev] [eclipse-build]Build N20030113 (Timestamp: 200301130010): Build failed

Dejan,

How do we enable the automatic generation of HTML doc files from the
extension point schemas?
Could you also clarify the difference between how .mxsd files and .exsd
files are treated?

Thanks,
Nick

Teams,

Apparently there is a task that copies extension point docs to the overall
documentation. In our schema conversion document, we wrongly stated that
you can remove the 'doc' directory once you have your schemas up to date.

Although you will be able to do so eventually, do not remove them for now.
What you can do is set up the automatic doc generation so that files are
created whenever you modify schemas. Ultimately, the plan is that we
modify
the build so that documents are generated from schemas as opposed to
copied. The build team will notify you when that happens.

The "extensionPointDocCopy" target in
org.eclipse.platform.doc.isv/buildDoc.xml and
org.eclipse.jdt.doc.isv/buildDoc.xml will need to be updated.

Please let me know if you do not have commit rights to either, I can make
the required changes.

The 'doc' directory has been removed from Search, Compare and JDT UI
plug-ins according to directions in the Extension point schema ownership
guide:
>Once you accept and bring the schemas up to date, you will not need 'doc'
directory and the static HTML files any more

What are the additional steps i.e. which file(s) do we have to adapt to
above change?
