Just a heads up: I started with a fresh workspace, but still had all the plugins checked in the preference page, causing all sorts of fun until I figured out what was going on.

Observed problems with PDE selfhosting have mostly been fixed in 20020321.
However, if you move to this build without creating a fresh workspace, you
will carry over the visibility of the external plug-ins, which may still
cause you problems when launching.

- If you retain your old workspace, go to Preferences->Plug-in
Development->Target Platform and ensure all the plug-ins are deselected. If
not, deselect them using 'Deselect All'
- If you start with a fresh workspace, you can double-check, but the
plug-ins should be deselected by default.
