Re: [ecf-dev] ECF conference calls over next few (summer) months
Hi Folks,

After Harshana's item removal, there are/were no more items added to the agenda for today:

...so, I'm cancelling today's (7/11/2011) conference call, and scheduling the next one for next week.

The two items are

a) ECF 3.5.2 maintenance release.  There have been a number of bug fixes since ECF 3.5.1 final build...particularly in Remote Service Admin...and I think these would constitute a reasonable maintenance release (3.5.2).  My suggestion about timing would be somewhere in mid-late August (i.e. next month).

b) Planning for ECF 3.6.  There are several interesting directions that have been brought up recently...e.g. ECF remote service providers based upon (Note...I'm just throwing these out as possibilities...please bring up other/more and we will discuss on this list prior to the meeting):

    i) Restlet
    ii) Jax-rs (and/or jax-ws)
    iii) CXF
    iv) Twitter
    v) Wave
    vi) nntp (in addition to Newsreader application being worked on by Isuru [Google soc], Wim, and Harshana)
    vii) others?  (e.g. javagroups, jms, xmpp

and filetransfer providers (for p2/Equinox/platform)

    i) httpccomponents/httpclient 4 (see [1])
 
...as well as further work on xmpp provider, examples, documentation, tutorials (i.e. the ECF documentation project [2] and/or other/new things.
