| Re: [ecf-dev] ECF conference call - Monday Dec 14 1600 UTC/8am pacific |
Hi Scott,
That's a good idea, I was thinking about organizing my contributions
around a heartbeat, as well. Already my first new year's resolution ;)
My only concern, and to be honest, the only reason why I am a bit
reluctant to participate in the conference calls is the tediousness of
the technology involved. If it takes 15 minutes to set up a 15 minute
conference call, I'm not sure it will pay off. Anyway, I'll stop whining
and start dialing, instead :)
Best regards,
Dann

Hi Folks,
In the interests of getting more contributor and committer
participation in the calls, we're going to have more regular
conference calls...and plan on the calls being shorter (target max
duration: ~15 min).
The conference calls will be every *week*, on Monday, at 1600UTC/8am
pacific. Here's the wiki info (i.e. date/time calendar, call-in info,
current agenda and meeting notes):
http://wiki.eclipse.org/ECF
I'm going to ask that all committers arrange to attend a conference
call at least occasionally. I think such participation is a
reasonable part of being an active ECF committer. The meetings will
be kept short.
Speaking of being an active committer...the EF occasionally wants the
projects to cull out inactive committers...and I think we should do
that fairly soon for ECF. On this page it lists the committers that
are considered inactive (because of few/no commits for an extended
period)
http://www.eclipse.org/projects/project_summary.php?projectid=rt.ecf
Please let me know if you are listed as inactive...but this is
incorrect (because you have been working on things but not in the
codebase, or are planning on additional participation in short term,
etc). Clark Hobbie and Dann Martens need not notify me about their
inactive status...as they are new committers.
Thanks,
Scott
