Dear community,
The Call for Proposals for Open Community Experience 2027 (OCX27) is now open. OCX27 takes place 13 to 15 April 2027 in Brussels, organised by the Eclipse Foundation.
The Modern software development track has a full day on tooling, and much of it is about the work this community does. The program committee is looking for sessions such as:
- Tooling ecosystems: development tools and platforms, IDEs and extensions
- Developer and AI agent workflows, remote development and workspace set-up at organisational scale
- Agentic coding, and how developers and AI agents share the work
If you build on Eclipse Theia, Eclipse CDT Cloud or another cloud development tool, or have added AI coding features to one, the committee wants to hear what worked and what did not. Tooling for embedded C/C++ can also go to the Software-defined systems & mobility track.
The committee wants talks grounded in real experience: a working implementation, a lesson learned the hard way, or practical knowledge other teams can use. First-time speakers are welcome.
Early bird deadline: 9 November 2026.
