[ecd-tools-wg] OC for Tooling at OCX 2026, Brussels, 21 to 23 April

Dear community, 

OC for Tooling at Open Community Experience (formerly EclipseCon) is fast approaching. From 21-23 April, the developer community will gather in Brussels to shape the next generation of open source developer tools.

I’d like to invite contributors, adopters, and open source leaders to attend and connect at this conference to learn from and share experiences about developer applications, AI assisted IDEs, language servers, next generation workflows, and, more broadly, the development of software tools.  

If you build tools or depend on them to deliver high-performance software, this collocated event is a must-attend. 

Featured sessions include:

• Programming in every language: Building cultural tools with Langium by Malik Lanlokun (Nankai University)

• AI in action: The ultimate live demo with Theia AI by Jonas Helming (EclipseSource)

• Eclipse Theia: News from the next-gen tools platform by Thomas Mäder (Castle Ridge Software)

In addition to the conference agenda, OCX will also host several hands-on workshops for developers who want to go deeper into specific topics. For instance, the three-hour workshop “Systematic AI Coding for Real-World Projects” will explore practical approaches to integrating AI into real development workflows.
