| Dear Peter, all,
Thank you very much for your email. I think it is worth clarifying this.
OCX is a big event made up of multiple collocated activities. Unfortunately, we don’t have a dedicated event for Dataspaces, that is why I am promoting here the OC for AI collocated event, which is the one closer to our topics. Inside OC for AI, there is a sub-track for “Data sharing and dataspaces”, as you can see in the link above. Christoph’s and Petteri’s talks fall into that sub-track category. In this case, they are both aligned with the EDWG principles and mission. Besides that, I wanted to promote also other relevant talks that, even if they are not falling into the sub-track related to dataspaces, they build upon the idea of trusted data sharing being the baseline of advanced AI applications. This is why (IMHO), Raphael’s and Maximilian’s talks might be of interest for our community. But you are right, they will not present directly dataspaces or link to EDWG activities.
Hopefully next year we can have a dedicated event on Dataspaces at OCX with more talks about the great work being done at the EDWG. In any case, for anyone interested in knowing more about EDWG and how to collaborate, I will be at OCX together with some members, as indicated above, so happy to have any informal meetings there to discuss.
Best regards,
Javier Valiño

Hi Javier, Can you please detail how the sessions from Raphael and Maximilian fit into Dataspaces? I have no idea who Raphael is and have never seen him or his company participate in dataspace discussions and I’m not aware that EDWG would have an official position on distributed AI. If he is talking about dataspaces, it would be good to have at least an internal presentation and sync with the steering committee. Same goes for Maximilian Kögel: How does that relate to dataspaces? What is the message, is it synced with EDWG positions? From 21-23 April in Brussels, OC for AI at OCX will bring together industry leaders working on trustworthy AI frameworks, data sharing and dataspaces, and responsible governance strategies. OCX is especially relevant for developers, researchers, and policymakers exploring responsible, transparent, and collaborative approaches to AI innovation in open source.
