I’ve read it. Thanks for the
detailed explanation, David – it helps to understand exactly how it’s
all going to play out.

[cross-project-issues-dev] Callisto: what nearing the end means fora coordinated
release
Getting close to our simultaneous release means we will
all need a new level of project coordination and cooperation that we have
never done before,
during
the final stages of preparing for release.
I
have documented (with much help from Denis Roy and Kim Moir) the schedule and
process to follow as projects put their final releases
on
eclipse.org, into their to-be-mirrored locations.
This
is not just documenting "business as usual" but will likely require
all Projects to adjust several parts of their final builds and procedures to
accommodate each other, and
not
"flood" the infrastructure nor for projects to be waiting for
something that may no longer happen during these final days. It should not be
(much) "extra" work ... but we need to make sure
everything
happens in the right order, at the right time.
Please
read the details at the wiki page below. And, read it closely ... see if there
is any thing that needs clarification, anything omitted, or wrong, or anything
you (as
a
contributing Project to Callisto) will not be able to accommodate. If so, let's
discuss. (For example, I've given times that "fit" for the Eastern
time zone ... but I am not sure
how
that translates into all time zones for where build teams are located ... so,
we may need to discuss adjusting some times to accommodate those in other time
zones).

Please
confirm with a note here to cross-project-issues-dev once you've read and
verified you can accommodate ... or, not, as the case may be.
If
you are the "build master" for your project, I also suggest you add
that wiki page to your watch list, and periodically check for updates.
Thanks
everyone
