Re: [concierge-dev] preparation for release 5.1

Hi Jan,

great to start getting a next milestone out of the door.

See also our previous milestone plan at: https://github.com/eclipse/concierge/milestone/1
We have:
* 2 remaining issues (#9, #4)
* 3 feature requests: standalone resolver, add REST and EventAdmin implementations to distribution

Agreed on that? You mentioned REST, EventAdmin is yet integrated, we can consider to close that issue.
Shall we integrate the standalone resolver for 5.1 or postpone that?

I see also the most important requirement to get the framework and the compendium bundles deployed at least to Eclipse Maven repository.
It would be great if we can also upload them to MavenCentral, which needs signed artifacts.

We should also make sure that TCK tests are running successful. Then I would not see any more requirements for the moment.
Can someone of you share how to run the TCK tests? I have also access to TCK as my employer is member of OSGi alliance, so I could also run the tests.

I would also take care of #4.
Jan: can you give #9 https://github.com/eclipse/concierge/issues/9 a look? The test case does not work when subscribing to framework. I am not sure how this is specified for framework bundle, but would not see why this should behave different.

Bye, Jochen

I would like to start the discussion and collect requirements for the upcoming Concierge 5.1 release.

On my side, I have (locally) integrated the (Java) rest client. While doing that I noticed that it indeed depends on DTOs which are R6 so I filed for CQs to include the DTOs in the rest client bundle for R5 implementations like us to be able to provide the service.

So far, I would think that these two open CQs (the DTOs use an OSGi annotation which are deployed as a separate artifact and as such required a separate CQ) are the only remaining hurdles to be cleared from an IP standpoint.

Tim, it would be great if you could confirm that we still pass all relevant TCK tests.

Other than this, do we have any further requirements for a release?
