I tested this with my account on build.eclipse.org, and I could reproduce the
problem. The JVM used was IBM SR4 from
   /opt/public/common/ibm-java2-ppc-50/bin/java

Using the most current JVM (IBM SR6b) from
   /opt/public/dsdp/JDKs/ppc32/ibm-java2-ppc-50-6.0
the problem does no longer occur. 

I filed bug 220943 asking the webmasters to update the shared JVM. In the
meantime, you can use the JVM from the DSDP project (path mentioned above).
