[cdt-dev] CDT 12.0.0 planning

Hi folks,

At the CDT call today we discussed delaying CDT 12 for a few months, here is the extract from the minutes I took. Please comment in the new CDT 12.0.0 endgame issue with any thoughts you have.

The proposal to delay CDT 12 (next major version) made and generally agreed upon with these details:

• All bug fixes that have been contributed to CDT's main branch to be backported so that CDT 11.6.2 can be released
• If there are changes that are on main that aren't bug fixes, we need to investigate what to do about them still
• CDT LSP will have its next release in line with SimRel 2024-12
• CDT 12.0 schedule will be delayed by 3 months, and the target platform for CDT 12 will change from 2024-09 to 2024-12.
