[cbi-dev] Jenkins LTS upgrade week is over

Hi,

Roughly 270 Jenkins instances have been upgraded to a newer LTS version
(2.222.4) over the last week to catch up with security fixes, etc.

In case you are wondering: We did not upgrade to the very latest LTS
version (2.235.1), since there was not enough time to test it before the
scheduled upgrade week.

During the upgrade we also deployed a change for all Jenkins instances
on our new clustered infrastructure that makes sure that the hardware
with the fastest CPUs is reserved for builds and not for masters (which
do not run builds themselves). This should improve the overall build
speed in general and reduce occurrences of exceptionally long build
times. We will also try to improve this further in the coming weeks.

A second change that affects all Jenkins instances on the new infra is
the removal of the "ui-test" pod template. In the beginning, we tried to
provide a minimal docker image that could be used for UI testing. In
many cases this docker image turned out to not have all the required
dependencies, so the bigger "migration" pod template had to be used
instead. Hence we removed the "ui-test" pod template and changed all
freestyle jobs that had been using it to the "migration" image. (If you
are using the "ui-test" label in a pipeline script, please change it to
"centos-7").

We also renamed the "migration" pod template to "centos-7". The
"migration" label will still work though.

If you see anything on your project's JIPP that seems to be out of order
(e.g. builds no starting) since the upgrade, please create a Bugzilla
issue and we will take a look.
