Hold on though guys. I expect there will be people using 3.8 & especially for LTS. For this reason, we still need it.

This makes sense to me. If we go this route we'd still need to copy over the tests module though since it doesn't exist in the R4 branch at the moment. We will still have the same issue though with Tycho 0.15.0 and up failing to build the tests.
Maybe we should discuss Bug 376586 [1] as well. Since we have eclipsebuilder in git now maybe we should start building the products and junit tests from there and removing the TMP directory.

I've also merged the natives patches into the R3 branch so that the R3
build can now also build the natives as well. There is one open issue

email [1]. It seems the eclipse-junit-tests module is not buildable with

decided to leave this module commented out for now until a fix for this
issue can be found so the R3 build at the moment does not build the
