Voting will close on 2026-06-26 for the Project Lead election of Andreas
Mittag on project Eclipse Safe Open Vehicle Core (automotive.score).

Criteria:

I am pleased to formally nominate Andreas for the election as Project Lead of
the Eclipse S‑CORE project.

He is a highly experienced engineering leader with more than three decades of
experience in automotive software and systems engineering and has a proven
track record in successfully delivering complex, safety-critical middleware
platforms and large-scale software programs for Software-Defined Vehicle
(SDV) architectures.

Andreas is actively contributing to the evolution of next-generation vehicle
software platforms and is deeply engaged in topics central to the Eclipse
S‑CORE ecosystem, including platform architecture, communication, execution
management, diagnostics, and system integration. His work demonstrates a
strong ability to bridge open-source development with industrial-grade,
production-ready solutions.

He has shown consistent and active involvement in the Eclipse S‑CORE
community while participating in multiple working groups and technical
communities, contributing to architectural direction, infrastructure topics,
and cross-functional alignment between stakeholders. His engagement reflects
a strong commitment to the collaborative, meritocratic principles of the
Eclipse Foundation. In addition to his technical expertise . He strongly
supports the open, “code-first” collaboration model and is committed to
aligning community contributions with industrial requirements and long-term
