Bauhofer on project Eclipse Safe Open Vehicle Core (automotive.score).

Criteria:

Lars has made an impact on the project,

therefore I am pleased to formally nominate Lars for the election as Project
Lead of the Eclipse S‑CORE project.

Lars is an active contributor and committer within the Eclipse S‑CORE
project, demonstrating sustained engagement in both technical and
organizational aspects of the initiative. He has been officially recognized
as a committer for Eclipse Safe Open Vehicle Core, reflecting trust from the
community and a proven contribution record; see https://github.com/qor-lb

He actively participates in key project bodies such as the Technical Lead
Circle and architecture-related discussions, contributing to coordination,
planning, and technical alignment across stakeholders.  His involvement
includes organizing activities, supporting project structuring, and
contributing to roadmap-related discussions that shape the evolution of
S‑CORE.

In addition to his open-source contributions, Lars brings strong industry
experience in Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) platforms and open-source
middleware. In his professional role, he has actively contributed to
advancing S‑CORE concepts toward production-ready automotive solutions,
including topics such as deterministic system behavior, integration
efficiency, and safety alignment. This combination of community engagement
and industrial perspective is essential for the success of Eclipse S‑CORE.

Additionally Lars demonstrates strong leadership capabilities through his
ability to facilitate collaboration across multiple companies and
disciplines. His engagement in community coordination and technical working
groups highlights his capability to guide distributed teams and align diverse
contributors around shared goals.

He also shows a clear understanding of the strategic objectives of Eclipse
S‑CORE, particularly its role in establishing a shared, open, and
safety-oriented software stack for Software-Defined Vehicles. His
contributions reflect a strong commitment to the Eclipse Foundation’s
principles of openness, collaboration, and meritocracy.

As Project Lead, he will:
- Support transparent and effective project governance
- Foster collaboration across OEMs, suppliers, and open-source contributors
- Drive alignment between technical development and ecosystem requirements
- Strengthen the connection between open-source innovation and industrial
adoption
- Contribute to building a sustainable and inclusive community

Based on his demonstrated contributions, community involvement, and
leadership capabilities, I am confident that Lars is well qualified to serve
as Project Lead of the Eclipse S‑CORE project.
