Dear Eclipse Automotive PMC,

 

I am writing on behalf of the Eclipse Ankaios project team to formally request a Graduation Review, in accordance with the Eclipse Foundation Development Process.

Stable, Production-Ready Releases

 

The project has delivered 13 releases to date and reached a significant milestone with v1.0.0 on February 16, 2026, marking a stable and production-ready API. Full release notes are available at:

Comprehensive Ecosystem and Documentation

 

Eclipse Ankaios is accompanied by a complete developer ecosystem, including:

Community Adoption and Visibility

 

The project has been showcased at multiple Eclipse SDV community events, demonstrating real-world adoption. Most recently, Oliver Kral presented "AI-driven edge analytics for Software Defined Vehicles" at the Eclipse SDV Community Day T-Systems 2026, illustrating Ankaios in a production-oriented use case:

Open Development Practices and Quality Assurance

 

The project adheres to open source rules of engagement. Development is conducted transparently, with:

- Requirements fully traced against source code and tests (unit, integration, and system tests)

- A fully automated and transparent release process

- A defined contribution process for new contributors

- A documented process for reporting and handling security vulnerabilities

 

We kindly request that the PMC review our readiness for graduation and provide the necessary approval to allow the EMO to schedule the Graduation Review. Please do not hesitate to reach out should any additional documentation or information be required.
