Hi everyone,

I am here to remember that committers “MUST” participates in the actively in the elections to maintain their committer role.

Currently there is one committer election running until Friday for Borja:

The election from Gonçalo was approved, but sadly as we saw there was not enough committers to get at least 50% (as you saw at the email from the PMC).

We project leads will be looking for your contributions and participations at elections to keep the active committer list updated.

If you are not active and will be not active there is always the option of “self-retirement” which can be done in your Eclipse Foundation profile.

The committer elections are announced always per this mailing list and per Matrix chat, so you get a chance to vote during the 1-week period. So, make sure to check your emails and the matrix chat regularly.

Nevertheless, congratulations for Gonçalo and I wish the best for the election of Borja,

Voting will close on 2025-05-16 for the Committer election of Borja Gómez on
project Eclipse Tractus-X (automotive.tractusx).

Criteria:

Borja has been an integral part of the Eclipse Tractus-X project since
joining in July 2024. His contributions have been impactful, as he actively
participates in discussions and consistently enhances core projects through
optimizations and improved code quality.

Beyond his technical contributions, Borja has been actively involved in the
emerging industry core initiatives as main responsible for DevOps and
infrastructure. Allowing the newly created products to comply with the TRGs
and specially on regards of helm charts configurations.

Community Engagement & Collaboration:

Since he usually can't attend Office Hours because of conflicts and the time,
he will present himself at the next Office Hour (16.05.25). Nevertheless
Borja has utilized our other ways of communications and other open meeting to
keep in touch with the community.
Borja has been a active & consistent presence in Open Source Matrix
discussions, sharing insights and contributing meaningfully very often:
