I'm seeking an Eclipse RCP expert for the following position:
Eclipse RCP Developer
Type: Contract (6 months)
Status: Full Time
Location: Austin, TX (or work remotely)
Start Date: Immediate
Compensation: Competitive DOE
Description
Quatro Consulting is seeking an Eclipse RCP Developer to design, develop,
and implement a new product. As an Eclipse RCP Developer, you will provide
solutions by collaborating with team members and interfacing with product
managers. You will participate in the full lifecycle of software
development from requirements through design, development, testing,
documentation, and deployment. This position will allow you to move into
other technology domains based on your performance and interest as new
projects are sourced.
Responsibilities
• Design and architect components based on functional specifications and
requirements
• Analyze and recommend technical solutions to complex use cases with a
focus on usability
• Provide technical leadership and expertise for product deliverables
• Apply and integrate technologies such as Java, J2EE, XML, JAXB and Web
Services
Requirements
• 5+ years object-oriented software design and development experience
• 2+ years of professional development with Eclipse RCP and Java
• One or more years of professional development with GEF, SWT, and JFace
• Effective time management and communication skills
• Experience integrating Eclipse RCP applications with Web Services
preferred
• Experience as a technical lead preferred
• Experience developing applications with RUP and/or XP software
methodologies preferred
• BA/BS/MS in Computer Science/Information Systems or comparable
experience
