[asciidoc-wg] AsciiDoc Steering Committee Representatives

All:

It is time for the Partner Members of the Working Group (signed Participation Agreements in place), namely OpenDevise, VMware, and Couchbase (at time of writing) to name the representative who will represent their interests on the Steering Committee as per the Charter.

As the Steering Committee also has the responsibility for the Specification Committee (again as per the Charter), naming these representatives will enable us to hold the necessary ballot to approve the creation of the Asciidoc Language specification project before we can create the project as is required by the Eclipse Foundation Specification Process. The ballot is, effectively, a means by which the committee members express their agreement to bring the specification project under the purview of the committee and their intent to support the specification project through its lifecycle. This effort can commence immediately after committee members are identified (we do not need to wait for the Steering Committee to hold its inaugural meeting). We typically hold ballots via a Working Group Specification Committee mailing list, but are happy to hold the ballot here via this mailing list. Best Regards,
