Hi David,

Just want to clarify that "no one release anything for 3.1 stream until after the holidays" also means that we should not release to R3_0_maintenance stream for WTP 3.0.4 either.  The reason is if we release a fix to WTP 3.0.4 but not forward port and release it to WTP 3.1, then the versioning tool would flag subsequent WTP 3.1 build as a versioning error (since the R3_0_maintenance stream would have a later version tag than the HEAD stream).  

Could you please clarify if that's the case or not?

I also tweaked the cruise control logs so the last one for our milestone
show's "green" ...
not to be mis-leading ... but I just can't stand seeing it red for the
next 6 weeks! (it draws my
attention too much).

Also ... I'd like to ask that no one release anything for 3.1 stream until
"after the holidays".
I know that interferes with some over achievers :) but there's still a
(tiny) chance we might have to respin
to fix versioning issues. Our "official" +2 Galileo date isn't until the
29th, and the Galileo builds are
"just getting started" so I'm not clear how they work, what we might have
to change, etc.

If to not release interferes with your work too much, just say so and
we'll make do with the risk (which is small).
I just didn't want people doing it casually.

Also, don't forget, you can commit to head and request a head build if
you'd like.

Wanted to give the team an update that we're planning to declare the
lastest available build as M4.  Although there is a JSF Junit failure on
it, but looks to be a random since it didn't fail on the previous builds.
So I will be manually updating the summary pages to change to 0 failure
and declaring if I do not hear any objections from the JSF team by 3pm
today.  Thank you!

Geez, I didn't even notice compile errors!

I don't think related to the version problem, as it is in JST layer
org.eclipse.jst.server.preview.adapter
1.0.101.v20081218b (current)
1.0.101.v20080730 (reference)

And compile errors are in WST layer.

But, both might indicate a "release" problem .. I'm getting latest stuff
loaded up now to check that out.

the compiler errors on . Would the compiler errors be related to feature
number correction that you are referring to?

We will have to rebuild once more, partially to pick up a feature number
correction that missed the previous build.

Plus, there were a couple of other JUnit failures. At first I was assuming


random, but looking at them, I wonder if could be related to change in
jetty/jsp/servlet prereqs?

JEE and JSP Teams, please check the JUnit failures and see if could be
related to the updates in the platform:

The current outlook is that we could declare M4 by Saturday afternoon.

I think these the last three deserve an increment in the minor field?
The first one needs to go in 3.0.4 as well, so that should be service
field only.

And one more reminder ... I suggest the following "blocker and critical"
bugs need to be addressed (fixed or discussed) before we can declare M4.
