[wtp-dev] WTP Servlet 6.1 support – review of PRs #41 and #43Hello, I would like to raise the current status of Jakarta Servlet 6.1 support in WTP. We are using Eclipse WTP with Tomcat 11 / Servlet 6.1 in a development environment, and the current limitations are quite disruptive for our Java developers, especially the incomplete handling of web.xml version 6.1 and the repeated descriptor-loading errors. The following items seem particularly relevant: PR #41 – Jakarta 11 support https://github.com/eclipse-jeetools/webtools.javaee/pull/41 PR #43 – Avoid repeatedly loading unchanged invalid deployment descriptors https://github.com/eclipse-jeetools/webtools.javaee/pull/43 Issue #44 – Jakarta Servlet 6.1 support https://github.com/eclipse-jeetools/webtools.javaee/issues/44 PR #43 already received a positive initial comment, and both PRs currently appear mergeable.
