Tomcat 8 support has been introduced to the Luna code base only. WTP doesn't officially support Tomcat 8 on Kepler release. The instruction on the original link ask the user to install the Luna WTP on top of Kepler which is not a tested scenario at all. Therefore, the user will need to use it at your own risk.

I also just hit a problem with tomcat 8, and a fix is in the works for RC1...
