|[wtp-dev] Please write up the New and Noteworthy for M3 by November 6th|
Hello all,I've now added the usual templates for M3 to the web site repository and you can preview the results at http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/development/news/3.1M3/ . As usual, if a project doesn't have anything written up on the morning of the milestone's availability, I'll just comment out the link to it from the overview page, no fuss required. I would prefer to have it completed by the time of this week's status call, though.
As I asked in earlier milestones of this release, let's take our screenshots on Microsoft Windows XP using the default blue theme when possible. The improved consistency in their appearance gives the results that little extra polish, and for components who may not have access to an XP installation, just let me know what's needed to produce the right screens and I'll lend a hand in producing them.
The attached team project set contains just the M3 folder if you want to quickly get started from within Eclipse. To set yourself up to edit your subproject's contents manually, connect to the web site repository at :extssh:dev.eclipse.org:/cvsroot/org.eclipse and either check out the entire contents of the /www/webtools folder, or just /www/webtools/development/news/3.1M3 if you only want to work on this milestone's files. The Incubator project, for one, has been chomping at the bit to get started. Don't forget that API changes should be broadcast in the http://wiki.eclipse.org/WTP_Weekly_What%27s_Cooking --which will hopefully return -- and recorded in "New Help for Old Friends IV" ( http://wiki.eclipse.org/New_Help_for_Old_Friends_IV ). As always, if there are any questions or concerns, feel free to air them.
The M4 templates will be added soon as well. Hopefully this will give everyone more time to write up what they're adding.
