1. WTP 1.5.1 Status - David Williams

http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/WTP_Release_1.5.x_Maintenance_Plan_and_Policies#Major_Dates

9/01: Component lead triage begins. All bugs reviewed and targeted accordingly; most P3 and low sev bugs not yet addressed that are nontrivial should be pushed out of the 1.5.1 release.

9/08: WTP 1.5.1 code complete. Start of PMC-level triage.

9/15: Code freeze for WTP 1.5.1 and start of downstream projects’ (TPTP, e.g.) final readiness and verification cycle. (Any requested changes or P1 bugs discovered required PMC approval to fix.)

9/15: Date by which all Callisto projects are maintenance build ready and update site loading/testing can commence.

9/27: Final posting of Callisto bits and mirror synchronization; update site locked during this time.

9/29: GA for first Callisto maintenance pack (including base 3.2.1 and WTP 1.5.1). Callisto update site, WTP update site, and WTP download page all available.(including all-in-one bundles for WTP 1.5.1).

David - Please note the new dail-in info for this call.

David - Go ahead with the smoke tests. There's one JUnit failure in the latest build, the only change I'm aware of is a doc change, shouldn't affect anyone. This may be some kind of threading problem. On target to declare tomorrow.

Jeff - Holiday in Toronto tomorrow. Toronto teams, please report smoke test results today.

Kathy - Do we need to smoke test 2.0?

David - We are having trouble getting the labels correct. The latest I-build has the latest code, you can take the latest I-build and start smoke testing.

Larry Issac - I got a 2.0 source build running and there's a compile error. JSP URI resolver hasn't been branched, but there are new code release to 1.5.1 and not 2.0 (pull in the source this morning).

Craig - Perhaps something is not release correctly. Will investigate today.

David - Note that our goal is to declare a milestone tomorrow.

David - This could be related to something I released in the XML plug-ins. Will double check.

David - I also released all the doc changes. Kate, are those suppose to be released?

Kate - Yes, thanks.

David - Reminder that we are starting component lead level approval. You should document in the bug..... who reviewed it, why is it important, what level of testing has been done, etc.

1.1 RDB changes - Larry Dunnell

1. There were two bugs submitted for PMC approval, let's discuss them in the status call.

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=153623

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=155606

2. Change in RDB plug-in version numbers:

Although the RDB component of WTP has no official public APIs, we recognize that adopters are extending these plug-ins and so we are soliciting feedback on a proposed change for WTP 1.5.1.  This change is requested by an adopter of WTP and involves the addition of a new extension point.  Since it is a new extension point, it does not require any code changes to be implemented by adopters.

A change of this type would normally require an increase in the minor field of the plug-in's version number.   However, if any adopters specify a narrow range for RDB, and think this would cause any problem at all, we would be willing to "bend the rules" and only increment the service field instead.

For details of the code change:

153628   Need extension point for metadata related to vendor extension model elements

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=153628

David - The version change is not in this week's build. Will go into next week's build.

1.2 Bugs targeted to 1.5.1 [1] - Jeffrey Liu

We only have 2 weeks
left for bug fixing. We still have 36 bugs targeted to 1.5.1. Only 13 of them are major or P2. Can component leads/owners scrub the list before the status call?

[1] https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/report.cgi?x_axis_field=bug_severity&y_axis_field=component&z_axis_field=&query_format=report-table&classification=WebTools&product=Web+Tools&target_milestone=1.5.1+M151&bug_status=UNCONFIRMED&bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED&format=table&action="">

David - I will go ahead and un-target anything that is not "major", P2 or higher.

1.3 Bugs sitting at inboxes [1] - Jeffrey Liu

Good progress, we are down to 48. Can component leads/QA contacts scrub the critical and major ones before the status call?

1.4 Hot Bugs [1] - Jeffrey Liu

1.5 Hot Bugs Requests [1] - Jeffrey Liu

Note that we are pass the deadline for submitting hot bug requests.

1.6 Use of internal APIs - David Williams

We have 13 plug-ins with API violations [1], but only 5 API requests [2]. We should have at least one bug opened for each plug-in that shows up in the violation report. For the ones that do not have a bug opened, we will review the violations one by one.

Craig - Bug 155876 is opened to track the org.eclipse.wst.common.ui violation.

2. WTP 2.0 Status - David Williams

David - Release candidate build ready. Ready for smoke test.

David - Chuck has one failing JUnits to look into.

3. Other Business - Open

Kathy -  New enhancement to the Web service test extension point. See Kathy's note to the wtp-dev list for more details.
