I've tried the Web services tutorials
and a couple of other random tutorials from other components and have hit
no major issues.

I vote "go" for M3.

Hi, 

The four Web services tutorials (bottom up Web service, top down Web service,
Web service client and Web Service Explorer) ran successfully using  the
I200502241903 driver. 

Our FVT testing had completed successfully as well with no major findings.
