Wild Web Developer 0.8.0 has recently been released. This new version brings the ability to extend the XML language server through extension jars, providing additional functionality to user workflow. 

For example, Angelo Zerr has started the development of a maven extension for the XML LS, which provides templates for pom.xml files (as well as other maven-specific features).

The extension jars can be contributed through the xmllsExtension extension point. 

An example on how to use the extension point is demonstrated in this gerrit (see plugin.xml).
