[udig-users] add a new Layer on UDIG

Hi,
I would like to add a new Layer, for example representing an image like a
GeoTiff.

For "Layer" I mean a new entity in the panel on the bottom-left of the
screen.

The possible scenario should be the following:

- the user press a special button
- a new layer representing an image is created 
- the layer is related to the current map of course.

I don't know I can do it...

the "layer" object is a ILayer?

I don't know how can  I create this entity..
