uDIG will be OK on Windows 7 64 bit. There is a 64bit ZIP file in the
downloads section at
http://udig.refractions.net/download/
And of course you can use the x86 version also.
The main thing is: if you want to use the x64 version, you must have
an x64-version Java Runtime Environment installed, adn for the x86
version, an x86 JRE must be used. You cannot mix 64 bit and 32 bit
JREs and uDIG, use the appropriate.
