Hi John,
I am right now working on that part and hope to be able to release the
netcdf capable version within this month.
The roadmap will be having it in the JGrass extentions and once tested
I will propose the udig community to put those plugins into trunk,
since apart of the netcdf support they contain also the time/depth
navigation support which could be exploited also in WMS with
geoserver.
