[udig-users] Re: udig-users Digest, Vol 19, Issue 7

I have added ojdbc14dms.jar in the Oracle Spatial preference. And I am having Oracle 9.2 installed on my system. Now when I try to add oracle spatial data, and provide the dialog eith host, username, and password, nothing appears in the databas or schema fields. There are two buttons on the Oracle Spatial data wizard (Lookup and Connect) and they are always disabled..

Hi All,
Can anyone tell me how can I add a Oracle spatial data layer to Udig? Does
it require Oracle to be installed on the system?

You need to take some oracle jars; and copy them into uDig. The Window
> Preferences page has the instructions and will do the work for you.

The instructions should also be in the online help ...
- http://udig.refractions.net/confluence/display/EN/Adding+features+from+Oracle
