[udig-users] scale

Hello.

What is the scale field just below the map view in uDig? Is it  
horizontal scale, vertical scale, scale around a small point in the  
center of the map or what? Does it use the real screen resolution or  
does it use a hard coded resolution?

It is working fine, I just want some details.
