[udig-users] unable to start udig under linux

Dear friends,

I can not install or execute udig in kubuntu 8.10. I downloaded the zip file and extracted it but when I try:

sh udig

I get the following error message:

udig: 26: ./private-bin: Permission denied

Does anyone knows what is the problem?
