I am not quite sure Ben; someone made it work this way previously... but I don't think we had time to look at their patch. It requires the rare combination of developer time; and someone with the ability to test the result.

If you have any documentation explaining what you need we may be able to help; what does it mean not to use a port parameter? Does it mean it uses a default port...

Is it possible to do a direct connect to ArcSDE? This type of connection doesn’t use the port parameter.

I get a “Connection parameters are invalid” error when I try to make the connection.

I am using uDig 1.1-RC14.
