The demo server has been REALLY slow lately so I'm not surprised that
it is being really bad. I don't thnk I'm going to do much more for it
now though.

After failing this way (and pressing CANCEL), an entry is added to
the catalog that is non functioning (when opened it says Searching
for contents...).
Application gradually slows down, what is the bet threads are stuck
waiting on a slow internet connection? Still never had it take
minuets before....

PS. Left the machine alone for a while; came back and the layers had
been added (twice!) and the catalog view had clued in ... actually
performance drawing seems fine. Must of been a problem brought on by
waking up the database for the first time.
