Hi Vishal,
I am sorry you are getting in at a touch time for uDig with lots of us
busy on migration to locationtech.

I am already prepared to mentor another student, so I can't help you out.
The only advice I can give you right now is to show your interest in
an idea and present what you would like to do, so that you can catch
the interest of one of the potential mentors.
