So my question remains; are you able to run? I am on IRC (or any IM) if you
need help...
No, I wasn't able to run it. I'm not sure the real error is the ossim,
but at least that one is throwing a readable one.
Question for you; are you running the "udig.product" as described in the wiki? Ie don't run all the plug-ins you checked out.
I am still trying to understand if it all has something to do with my ganymede environment.
Oh no :-) I have not been brave enough to try anything; like that - I was strictly work *exactly* against what is in the wiki ...

Still go through the step where you remove "org.eclipse.rcp" from the udig.product and then add it again (to sort out any version / platform differneces between what I committed with and what you are running...).
However at home I do not have the linux machine I was working on, so I guess I will not be able to try that out right now.
I'll come back to you then,
I am around for a bit longer, but am away Monday on holiday. Enjoy your weekend.
