Re: [udig-devel] Any release plan?

Hi all,
is there a release plan for uDig 1.1?

Well do do keep one on the Community page (along with who is doing what):
- the "plan": http://udig.refractions.net/confluence/display/UDIG/Timeline
- the "jira": http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/UDIG?report=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.project:roadmap-panel

So we have two authorities, I tend to belive Jira. The hit list for uDig 1.1 is finished, and we are in the throws of bug stomping. Although there is lots more cools stuff to do uDig 1.1 represents a huge improvement over 1.0.x and it is time for a release.

Here is what I suspect is going to happen:
- uDig 1.1.M3 - pixel perfect suitable (for online help screen snaps)
- uDig 1.1.RC1 - updated online help (as a target for translation)
- uDig 1.1.RC2 - completed translations
- uDig 1.1.0 - release!
- rest / sleep / Jesse has a baby etc...
- uDig 1.1.1 - performance optimizations, and showstopping bugs as requested by community

Just curious :-)

Np. That community page is supposed to be about "open development", offering up links the the community svn, email list, etc... Including what the community is working
on in Jira.

If you can think of a way to make this page more accessable I would love a suggestion
(it is the only page that I am not content with right now).
