User-friendly Desktop Internet GIS
UDIG is an open source spatial data viewer/editor, with special emphasis
on the OpenGIS standards for internet GIS, the Web Map Server and Web
Feature Server standards. UDIG provides a common Java platform for building
spatial applications with open source components.

UDIG 0.4.0 includes new support for GeoServer compatibility, context 
menus, operations extension point, getting started tutorial, creation 
wizards, wms tiling, wfs transaction support, and improved editing. This 
release is made in tandem with Geotools 2.1.M1.
