Hi all,
The Eclipse 2020-06 simultaneous release is approaching (June 17, 2020) and I would like to share the plan for Trace Compass for this release. Trace Compass project will release version 6.0.0 for Eclipse 2020-06 (4.16).
As this is a major version upgrade, we have been removing deprecated APIs that have been marked @deprecated for at least one release cycle.
We will also be dropping support for the Neon Eclipse platform (4.6) in this release.
Feature Freeze:
The feature freeze will
be together with the RC1 build of Trace Compass. RC1 build will be taken
on the morning of Wednesday June 3, 2020 from branch master. This
means that any feature that you want to be part
of the 6.0.0 release should be reviewed and merged to master before June 3, 2020. Release branch stable-6.0 will be taken from master
right after the same day. Only bug fixes, documentation updates or JUnit
tests should be added on this branch afterwards.
Release Testing:
We’ll execute a set of manual test cases to ensure that the features are working properly.
