Thanks for reporting these issues. I can reproduce the problems with the attached trace. I've opened 2 bug reports for the 2 issues. I'll try to provide fixes soon.
Please follow them to see when a fix is available.

BTF parser of Trace Compass does not recognize comment rows (starting with "# "), after such a row file is not parsed any more.
Also, when "notes" column is present, it is attached to the previous one (event), which breaks event state machine.
