Hello
Here is the New & Noteworthy of the Trace Compass project for
May 2015:
- Performance improvement of CTF parser and building of state
systems (e.g. ~40% for Kernel State System)
- Automatic alignment of the time axis for time based views. [2]
- The user now can resize the time window of one view and all
other open views will align to the new window size and
position.
- The automatic alignment is optional and can be switched off
using a toolbar button.
- Expansion of selected time range using keyboard or toolbar
actions in time graph views (e.g. Control Flow view). This
allows the user to select exact time ranges spanning from one
event to another event.
- Introduction of CTF writer for cropping a CTF trace to a given
time range. Note, that there is no UI integration available yet.
This will be part of an upcoming release.
Please refer to the New & Noteworthy page [1] for Trace
Compass release 1.0 (Mars release), the User Guides [2] for the
nightly builds for details about the new features. For the
performance refer to the performance tracking web site for Trace
Compass [3].
