Re: [toolchain-modernization-strategy] Minutes and next meeting

Hi Jonas,

Thanks a lot for sharing the minutes and for setting up the next meeting.

I just have a small personal feedback regarding the Interest Group:
In my view, one of the main values of this IG could be to bring new participants to the table.
With that in mind, I would suggest that the group might consider framing a deliverable that could be collectively produced.
This deliverable could summarize different approaches to the "evolution" or "migration" of technologies that are currently mostly in a "maintenance mode", such as:

  • modernization of the existing technology layer

  • migration towards a completely new technology stack

  • or even hybrid strategies that combine both approaches.

It could also be of high value to dive a little deeper into the technical details, capturing the choices and strategies already taken by current members, and the reasons behind these decisions.
I believe this would not only be helpful for new participants, but also for existing members to put their own strategy and perspective clearly into words.

Of course, just a suggestion — very happy to hear your thoughts!

Best regards,
Thomas

Next meeting is June 26th.

I also added the agenda for the next meeting (same document).
Thomas, Johannes and Mark: Is the agenda fine for you and could you please coordinate on your part?

Future Agenda: To save some time for setting the topics for future meetings (after June 26th), please add suggestions for future topics to the agenda of the next meeting.

Thank you and best regards,
Jonas
