Re: [threadx] Inquiry About ThreadX Safety Certification Artifacts

Hi Jon.

Thank you for reaching out and for your interest in Eclipse ThreadX.

SGS Tüv Saar has not yet transferred the safety certificates to the Eclipse Foundation. We expect the transfer to be completed this month, but we cannot provide access to the full documentation set until then.

The Eclipse Foundation's board of directors approved the principle of a program to provide non-Eclipse members with access to safety documentation back in July. The program's name is ThreadX Alliance, and we hope it will be fully operational by Q4 of this year.

Eclipse Foundation staff is currently working on the program's implementation. The pricing model is close to being finalized. Our lawyers are working on the legal agreements and licensing terms for the documentation in parallel. Please watch this mailing list for further information. We will provide additional details as we approach the launch.

I can share a sample safety manual for USBX with you so you can evaluate the documentation package. Please let me know if you are interested.

Best Regards,

Frédéric DESBIENS
